MEDICAL & SCIENCE WRITING
My Story
My name is Daniel Li.
I am a trained scientist, educator, writer, and communicator. I have been passionate about science since the age of 8 when my parents brought me to the Boston Museum of Science, and I spent an afternoon staring at models of cells and organelles. Equally, I have expressed myself through writing for as long as I can remember, and I have developed my craft as a freelance writer and editor for scientific publications and lay papers alike.

I attained a Ph.D. from Yale University in Molecular Neuroscience in 2017 and have spent 7 fulfilling years as a science educator in the classroom. I seek to fuse my talents as a communicator with the technical skills I learned as a trained scientist to pursue a career in medical & scientific writing.

This portfolio showcases my writing for both a technical audience and the general public, with samples of literature reviews, clinical study reports, and public education briefs.
